According to local authorities, the violent altercation broke out following a long-standing family dispute regarding the teenager’s desire to undergo gender-affirming surgery.

The incident took place early this week in the Naka Hindola police station jurisdiction.

Details of the Incident

According to police officials, the teenager, who identifies as a woman, faced severe opposition from the family regarding the surgical transition. On the day of the incident, a fresh argument erupted when the mother advised the minor to seek psychological and medical counselling instead of proceeding with the surgery.

The argument escalated rapidly, leading the teenager to repeatedly strike the mother on the head with a heavy iron wrench, causing fatal injuries.

Pre-Planned Action

Initial police investigations suggest the act may have been premeditated. Investigators recovered diary entries belonging to the minor that detailed a plan for the assault. Authorities also confirmed that the minor had purchased the weapon and other items used in the crime prior to the incident.

Following the attack, the teenager contacted the police to report the incident. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where the minor was taken into custody without resistance, and the weapon was recovered.

Ongoing Investigation

Local police revealed that due to continuous friction within the household regarding the transition, the family had previously rented a separate apartment for the teenager and had arranged professional medical consultations.

The minor is currently being held in a juvenile reformation facility. Further forensic examinations and psychological evaluations are underway as part of the legal procedures. Mainstream media networks report that the case will be handled under the standard protocols of the Juvenile Justice Board.

LUCKNOW: A 17-year-old minor has been taken into police custody in Uttar Pradesh’s capital after allegedly attacking and killing his…

[1
